Jake had a session today for his senior portraits.  Next year he will be a senior at Midlothian High School.  I was so happy we could fit his session in today because he is one busy guy!  He is a lifeguard, he plays soccer and he likes computers.  I hope all of my senior sessions this year are as fun as this one was with Jake and his mom!

What a handsome guy!

Andrea needed some images for her modeling portfolio so we met Friday night for a shoot.  I think Andrea is a wonderful model because not only is she gorgeous, but very easy going and fun to work with!  Plus she had all these hilarious faces and expressions – I had a blast working with her!

First we did a studio session  . . . .

Is this cool or what?

Then we headed outside for a few  . . .

Look at these beautiful eyes -

I learned something new tonight!  I learned that I LOVE shooting people who are going to the prom!  What fun – seriously!  Of course, your subjects (and their parents) have a lot to do with it too – but Robbie and Alexis were perfect models!  Alexis had won the prom package that I donated to a while ago to help support the IB program at Midlo High.  She got a whole bunch of neat things in that package, including her really cool dress!  So I met them out at Sunday Park tonight and the weather was just perfect!  These two spent most of the time goofing around and laughing, which you will see.  Aren’t they a gorgeous couple?  Alexis and Robbie – I hope you have a fantastic time at the prom and thank you so much for letting me capture some memories for you!

If you live in this area, you probably know what the “VT” stands for (Virginia Tech) – which is where they are both going to college.

I know I already said this, but aren’t they gorgeous?

“Psst . . . tell me a secret . . . ”

The IB Parents Council is having a prom raffle starting on Valentine’s Day that has a whole bunch of really fabulous prizes.  The grand prize winner will receive a free tux rental, haircut and style, nails/pedi gift card, floral gift card, some other various prizes and a package from me!  In my package (which can be used for the prom, seniors, family, or whatever you choose) you get an *entire* session for free, including 10-15 images on a disk!  This is an awesome value considering the raffle tickes are only $1 or 6 or $5.

So I did a “mock” prom shoot with a few models to promote this cool raffle – and in the beginning we were quite serious. . . .

Then we decided that this shoot was just for fun, so let’s have some . . .

I won’t be surprised if one of these guys lands an acting gig in Hollywood someday  . . .

Thanks y’all!!

Walton Park Swim Team . . .

January 25, 2011

Hey all -

I have been offered the wonderful opportunity to be Walton Park Swim Team’s photographer this year!  I’m so excited and I can’t wait for summer to get here!  One of the ideas Susanna, Samara and I have been throwing around is of me possibly taking action shots of the kids while they are swimming at swim meets. Would anyone be interested in that?  Some money from the sale of prints would be given back to the swim team.  Please let me know by leaving a comment on this blog post, on my facebook fan page or emailing me at imagesbysusielynn@verizon.net.  Here are a couple examples I took last year of rockstar swimmers Jake and Coach C swimming breaststroke and butterfly.

I had the pleasure of meeting Carter last night to take his senior portraits.  He had a really cool location picked out that included a caboose, train tracks and a beautiful pond.  He even came up with his own posing, which I loved!  Here is his sneak peek . . .

It’s a horse!

September 11, 2010

Yup, little ole me, who might be slightly afraid of horses, got to go take some pictures of beautiful K and her awesome horse Zack.  Not only is he gorgeous, but he is smart!   (Let’s just say he knew who had the pop tarts)!  Thanks for letting me come hang out K – I had a great time!
